Spotted row (Tricholoma pessundatum) Spotted ryadovka (Tricholoma pessundatum) is an inedible mushroom from the Ryadovkov family (Tricholomovs), belonging to the Ryadovok genus.

External description

The caps of the spotted ridges have a diameter of 5 to 15 cm. In young fruiting bodies, they are convex, and in mature mushrooms, the caps open completely, and a depression remains in their middle. The edges of the caps of this type of row are often turned up, thick, have irregular bends and a red-brown color. Very rarely, on the surface of the caps, the wavy-leg rows have a teardrop-spotted pattern.

The hymenophore of the fungus is represented by the lamellar type, consists of white plates, which in old, overripe fungi turn reddish-brown and become stained.

The mushroom pulp is white and has a characteristic smell of stale flour. The leg of these rows is white, short in length and high in density. It is cylindrical in shape, can reach 3-8 cm in length, and its thickness varies within 2-3 cm.

Spores in spotted rows have no color, are characterized by a smooth surface and have an elliptical shape. Their dimensions are 3-52-3 microns.

Season and habitat of the mushroom

Mushroom pickers (Tricholoma pessundatum) rarely meet on their way. The period of their active fruiting begins in September and ends in the second half of October. This type of rowing prefers to grow on acidic soils, in spruce forests, in the middle of pine sandy forests. Most often spotted grasslands are found in mixed or coniferous forests.

Edibility

The ryadovka spotted mushroom (Tricholoma pessundatum) is poisonous and, therefore, not suitable for human consumption. And although the level of toxic substances in the fruiting bodies of this row is small, when it enters the human body, the fungus often causes gastrointestinal upset and poisoning.

Similar types and differences from them

Spotted plants are very similar in appearance to the edible mushroom – the poplar rower (Tricholoma populinum). However, the latter is distinguished by a smooth cap that has a regular shape. It is almost impossible to meet poplar rowing in the forest, but it grows mainly under aspen and poplar trees.
