Separate row

Hat: hat diameter 10cm. The surface of the cap is olive-brown, darker in the center, with light greenish edges curved downward and dark rare scales. In wet weather, mucous, pale greenish, fibrous.

Stem: white at first, turns light green or olive as the mushroom matures. The bottom of the leg is dark gray or black. The stem is solid, smooth or appressed-fibrous, cylindrical, sometimes with small scales. In a young mushroom, the leg is widened, in an adult it is thickened and pointed towards the base. Leg length 8cm, thickness 2cm.

Flesh: whitish, pale yellowish under the skin of the leg and cap. Has a slightly bitter taste and smell, reminiscent of fresh flour, some do not like this smell.

Spore powder: white. Spores are smooth, almost round.

Plates: white or grayish, almost free, wide, silky, not frequent, branched with plates.

Edible: average taste, good for food, used in salty form. The fungus is practically unknown.

Similarity: resembles some other types of autumn rows, for example, a green row, which is distinguished by yellow plates and a greenish-yellow surface of the cap.

Distribution: found in coniferous and deciduous forests. Prefers moist and acidic soils with some deciduous trees can form mycorrhiza. Fruiting time is August – September.
