The cap, reaching 8 cm in diameter, is at first hemispherical, eventually opening to convex and almost flat, painted in brick-red or yellow-brown tones. The hymenophore is tubular, the pores and tubules are pinkish-red, which do not change color when damaged.
The stem is central, cylindrical or clavate, usually tapering downward. The surface of the leg is pinkish, covered with a reddish coating.
The pulp is yellowish, bright yellow at the base of the leg, does not change color in the air, without a special taste or smell.
Spores are broadly elliptic, 5.5-8.5 x 4-5.5 microns.
Distribution – Grows in oak forests, is very rare. Known in Europe.
Edible – Edible mushroom of the second category.
