Row-shaped pseudo-pig is an original mushroom that can be found in Russia and the CIS countries.
Mushroom Pseudo-pigs are row-shaped, light in color, with a white leg and cap. The dimensions are large enough, the mushroom looks very powerful, because it has a rather dense dome-shaped cap that rests on a thick leg. There is hairiness inside such a hat, but it is practically invisible. The outer edges are folded so deeply. The main feature of this species is the thickening of the stem closer to the rhizome.
Row-like pseudo-guinea can be found in almost any forest, quite often it is located on grass and wet soil. Row-shaped false pigs are found almost from mid-summer to frost, until mid-autumn.
The mushroom is indeed very fleshy, huge, the caps are often more than 30 cm in diameter. That's for sure – a pig! The mushroom can be fried, pickled, dried. It has a very strong flour smell.
An interesting feature of this mushroom is that it is never affected by insect larvae, in other words, it is never wormy. It grows in the steppe usually in large rings. If you find such a thing, you can count on a full basket.
Row-shaped false guinea differs in that it has a too white light color.
