Psilocybe semi-lanceolate (Psilocybe semilanceata (Fr.) P. Kumm. 1871;) – a species of fungi of the stropharia family. Contains psilocybin and psilocin with psychoactive properties, therefore refers to inedible hallucinogenic mushrooms.
Psilocybe is semi-lanceolate – lamellar mushroom. Hat with sizes from 5 to 25 mm, its height in one and a half times the width, the shape from semicircular to conical, on at the end of a small tubercle, the edge can be rolled up, the surface is smooth, finely fleshy. Hat mucus it is removed especially easily at young copies. Color from beige to dry conditions to brown with an olive tint in wet The conditions are sometimes striped. Pulp when damaged and drying out turns blue. The leg is lighter than the cap, strong, flexible, elastic, smooth or with scales at the beginning, without a border. The plates are dark, sometimes black, less often gray.
Psilocybe semi-lanceolate prefers to grow among grass on cattle fertilized glades, in humid places, on hummocks, on irrigated surfaces. The main growth time is at the end August – mid-January, mainly in September and November.
This mushroom contains psychoactive substances from the group tryptamines, which have a psychedelic effect on the central nervous system.
The content of substances in mushrooms may vary depending on the conditions in which they grew, individual susceptibility of people to these substances also varies from person to person, therefore it can be said just a few dozen mushrooms can have a significant effect on the human psyche.
Psilocybe semi-lanceolate acts approximately 4-7 hours after poisoning. The onset of poisoning is observed through 20-45 (mushroom broth can begin to act in 10 minutes), increasing to a peak takes about 1 hour, and the peak itself lasts 2-3 hours, followed by a decline for 1-2 hours. Is possible partial or complete loss of mind (insanity) due to a strong change in consciousness that may be irreversible or for way out of this condition will require the help of professional psychiatrists. After the action of the mushrooms is still approximately for several days, there may be a consequence called sometimes “afterglow” (from the English afterglow), which may be expressed by a general state of peace and a slight increase perception or the onset of depression with the search for meaning existence.
The psychedelic effect of these mushrooms is also called trip. Eating mushrooms describe their effect as softer than synthetic phenethylamines, and more “natural” than the action of LSD.
Attention! Intentional collection and use of hallucinogenic mushrooms are prohibited by the legislation of the Russian Federation and many other countries.
