All rows, both edible and inedible, form a large family, which includes more than 2500 species of these fruit bodies. Most of them are considered edible or conditionally edible, and only a few species are poisonous.
Poisonous mushrooms, similar to rows, grow in the same mixed or coniferous forests as the edible species. In addition, their yield falls in the months of August and October, which is typical for picking good mushrooms.
Similarities and differences between rowovki and other mushrooms
There are poisonous mushrooms, similar to the common gray ryadovka, so anyone who is going to the forest for a mushroom harvest should carefully study the similarities and differences of these fruit bodies before collecting them. For example, a pointed row is very similar to a gray ryadovka, but its bitter taste and appearance should stop the mushroom picker from collecting. This fruiting body has a gray cap, which is also heavily cracked at the edges. In the center there is a pointed tubercle, which is absent in the edible gray row. In addition, the pointed one is much smaller in size, has a thin stem, and does not grow in rows and large groups like its edible 'sibling'.
Tiger ryadovka or leopard is another poisonous mushroom, similar to gray ryadovka. Its toxins are very dangerous to humans. It grows in oak, deciduous and coniferous forests, preferring calcareous soil. As it grows, it forms rows or 'witch circles'.
Poisonous tiger ryadovka is a rare and toxic mushroom with a ball-shaped cap that resembles a bell in adulthood, and then becomes completely prostrate. The color is off-white or grayish, there are flaky scales on the surface of the cap.
The leg is from 4 cm to 12 cm long, straight, white, has a rusty tint at the base.
The plates are fleshy, rare, yellow or green in color. On the plates, droplets of moisture are very often visible, secreted by the fruiting body.
Poisonous rows like to grow on the edges of deciduous or coniferous forests, on the territory of meadows and fields, parks and gardens, practically throughout the temperate zone of Russia. These ryadovka-like mushrooms begin their fruiting from the end of August and continue almost until the middle or end of October. Therefore, when you are going to go to the forest, it is very important to have a good understanding of the rows. Otherwise, you can seriously harm your health and the health of your loved ones.
