Hat (diameter 5-15 cm): matt, white or dirty gray, with ocher or yellow spots, slightly convex, fully extended or slightly depressed. Slightly wavy edges are usually tucked towards the inside.
Plates: thin, narrow and frequent.
Leg (height 2-5 cm): cylindrical, rather short for a massive cap. Solid and white in young mushrooms, hollow and pronounced in taste and smell.
Doubles: the violinist (Lactarius vellereus), which, unlike the dry load, has a milky juice.
Dry mushroom grows from late July to mid-September.
Where to find it: in forests of all types, often near birches, aspens and oaks, less often with spruces.
Eating: A dry load is considered a very tasty mushroom raw, pickled and salted. Connoisseurs prefer dry salting.
Application in traditional medicine: not applicable.
