Pale-colored talker Clitocybe metachroa

Pale-colored talker (Latin Clitocybe metachroa) is a type of mushroom included in the genus Clitocybe of the family Tricholomataceae.

Description

A hat with a diameter of 3-5 cm, first convex, tuberous, with a curved edge, then prostrate, depressed, deeply pitted, with a fence edge, hygrophane, slightly sticky in wet weather, first grayish-ash, as if with a whitish bloom, then watery, grayish-brownish, brightens in dry weather, whitish-grayish, whitish-brownish with a distinctly dark center.

The plates are frequent, narrow, at first adherent, then descending, pale gray.

Spore powder, whitish-grayish.

The leg is 3-4 cm long and 0.3-0.5 cm in diameter, cylindrical or narrowed, hollow, at first grayish with a whitish bloom, then grayish-brownish.

The pulp is thin, watery, grayish, without a special smell. Dried specimens have a faint, unpleasant musty odor.

Spread

Distributed from the second half of August to November (late species) in coniferous and mixed forests (spruce, pine), in groups, not often.

Similarity:

It is similar to Grooved Govorushka, which has a noticeable flour smell. In his youth with the Winter Talker (Clitocybe brumalis).
