Mushroom from the family Ryadovkovy – Tricholomataceae.
Features of ecology and phytocenology Grows in coniferous and mixed wet old-growth forests, in small clusters, on bark, valezha and mossy rotten coniferous wood. Fruiting from June to September (2, 3).

Short description Hat 3-10 mm dia., Semicircular, bell-shaped, dry, smooth, pubescent, striped, light gray, grayish-brown edge, sharp and slightly toothed edge. The pulp is thin, odorless and tasteless. The plates are white, sparse, grayish, wide with an abdomen, almost free. Stem 10-20 × 0.2-1 mm, straight, sometimes bent, pubescent, transparent, grayish, hollow, base slightly widened, intensely colored blue, felt.
Distribution Found in Akademgorodok. In Russia, it is found in the European part, in the Middle Urals, in Western Siberia, outside Russia – in Europe. June – September.
Nutritional properties Poisonous.
Similar species Blue stalk and small fruiting bodies are good distinguishing features for Mycenacyanorrhiza. However, these traits can be found in Mycenapachyderma, Mycenaamicta, and Mycenasubcaerulea.
Notes Various publications mention the presence of psilocybin in M. cyanorhiza.
