Harvest time: growing from spring to early December, best in September and October. Location: individually or in groups in low grass. on lawns, fields, river valleys or fertile pastures.
Hat Size: 8 – 25 mm ∅, 8 – 16 mm tall. Shape: first from semicircular to broad-conical, then bell-shaped, many in the end in shape umbrella, however, never flat. Color: from beige – yellow to cinnamon, with a light brown surface, shiny in dry condition. When humidity becomes dark – red – brown. Surface: soft with grooves if moist, ragged and scaly, if dry, especially old copies.
Leg Dimensions: 20 – 80 mm high, 3 – 4 mm ∅. Shape: straight and uniform, sometimes slightly flat. Color: light, with a reddish tint, if dry, when damp it turns brown. the burn is always lighter hats, especially in the upper part and in young specimens, in the foot is brownish. Surface: smooth hollow, brittle, fragile. Without a ring.
Spore layer Color: pale brown and spotty (spores do not form everywhere), with white edges, darkens to black specks (when the spores are ripe and fall out), much browner than Panaeolus spp. Location: relatively close to each other, widely fused with a leg, adnаt.
This mushroom is easily confused with the same inedible Panaeolus papilionaceus.
