Description: A hat with a diameter of 10 to 15 cm, cone-bell-shaped for a long time, prostrate in old age, densely covered with red-brown fibrous scales, fleshy. The plates are juicy pink in youth, and dark red when cut, brown-black in old age. The spore powder is purplish brown. The leg is thickened at the base, strong, white, with a wide hanging ring, strongly reddening at the slightest pressure. The pulp is white, with a pleasant odor, intensely reddening when cut.
Distribution: In summer and autumn grows in deciduous and coniferous forests.
Similarity: Intense reddening of the pulp is a characteristic feature. It can be confused with inedible champignons, although they smell not so pleasant.
Rating: Good edible mushroom.
