Albatrellus confluent

Albatrellus confluent is an annual edible mushroom.

Basodiomas have a central, eccentric, or lateral pedicle. In nature, they grow together with legs or merge with the edges of the cap. In a toga, from the side it appears to be a shapeless mass with a diameter of 40 cm and more. From this they got their name – Albatrellus merging

There are several types of hats: rounded, elongated on one side and with uneven sides. Sizes range from 4 to 15 cm in diameter. The leg is lateral, 1-3 cm thick and rather brittle and fleshy.

At a young age, the surface of the cap is smooth. Over time, it becomes more and more rough, and even with small scales in the center of the mushroom. Later, the cap cracks. This also happens for natural reasons, for example, a lack of moisture.

Initially, the hat is creamy, yellowish-pink with a reddish tint. Over time, it increasingly acquires a red and pink-brown color. After drying, it generally acquires a dirty red color.

The hymenophore and tubular layer in young representatives of these mushrooms is white and creamy. After drying, they acquire a pink and even red-brown color. The edges of the cap are sharp, solid or lobed, similar in color to the cap. The skin is a little tough, firm and fleshy up to 2 cm thick. Has a white color, after drying it turns red accordingly. It has tubes 0.5 cm long. The pores are different: rounded and angular. Density of placement from 2 to 4 per 1 mm. Over time, the edges of the tubes turn into thin and dissected matter.

The smooth pink or cream stem is up to 7 cm long and up to 2 cm thick. The confluent albatrellus has a monomytic hyphal system. The fabrics are wide with thin walls, the diameter varies. They have many buckles and simple baffles.

Basidia are club-shaped, and smooth spores are elliptical and drawn obliquely near the base. Albatrellus confluent can be found on the ground, surrounded by moss. It is mainly found in coniferous forests (especially rich in spruce), less often in mixed ones.

If you make a map of the location of this mushroom, then part of Europe (Germany, Ukraine, Finland, Estonia, Sweden, Norway), East Asia (Japan), North America and Australia should be noted. The Russians can go to collect Albatrellus, which is merging in Murmansk, the Urals and Siberia.
